Eat & Drink

Whether you are looking for a bite to eat or an adult beverage, Isla Mujeres offers something for everyone. The main restaurant and entertainment area is located at the north end of the island around Hidalgo Street near Playa Norte. However, there are many great restaurants throughout the Centro (town center), the Mid-Island Bay Area, and along the Sac Bajo road along Isla's western shore. Here are some of our favorites...

Marbella Seafood&Grill

Located right next to Albatros Beach Club, this is where you will find fine, fresh cuisine. Their seafood is priced by the kilogram and is the best on the island in our opinion. If you are here for lobster season, that is a must! We also recommend their Spicy Fish nuggets and the Tuna tostadas! Reservations are recommended for evenings.

If you're looking for a not so touristy spot for authentic mexican food for an amazing price, this is it! They can accommodate large groups and the service is unmatched. Try the Grande Mango Margarita, Enchiladas Verde, and the fried bananas!

Taqueria Erika

Looking to eat local? Check out Taqueria Erika! A taco stand located on the side of a busy, residential street in the midisland neighborhood of Selina Grande. This is a popular option amongst locals, here you can pick up to takeaway or sit on one of the tables located by the stand and take-in how popular this little spot is as people stop off to pickup their orders. Try their horchata!

North Garden

You'll feel like you're entering someones backyard garden when you come here! Known for having the best Bloody Marys on the island, homemade bagels, a bakery next door, and an amazing menu, this place has it all.

Named after an Isla Mujeres favorite who lost his battle with Covid. Their crispy tacos stole our party of 20's heart, and their lobster pesto fettuccini. They have a GREAT breakfast as well!

Ocean’s is a great option for breakfast, lunch and dinner, located on Isla Mujeres’ main restaurant and bar strip, Avenida Hidalgo, next to their partner restaurant Xantolo. Ocean’s is the perfect location to people watch from in this cozy, open restaurant, or watch as your meal is prepared in their open kitchen.

Oh My Brunch!

Located in downtown Isla Mujeres, opposite Selina Hostel, with a chic, boho vibe, delicious food and drinks to start the day, and a wonderful service. While it is a little more expensive than some other breakfast spots downtown, it’s a beautiful location with great ‘Instagramable’ food and surroundings.
